Sizing in designer archive and pre‑loved pieces can vary by brand, era, and fabrication. This guide is designed to help you understand how we measure each item and how to choose the best fit.

How We Measure

Every piece listed includes precise measurements taken by hand. Measurements are taken while the garment is laid flat.

We typically include:

  • Chest / Bust
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Length
  • Sleeve length (if applicable)
  • Shoulder to shoulder (if applicable)

If you ever need additional measurements, our team is happy to provide them.

Understanding Designer Sizing

Designer sizing can differ significantly:

  • Vintage pieces often run smaller
  • Avant‑garde and deconstructed designs may fit fluidly
  • Tailored pieces may require more precise measurements
  • Stretch fabrics and knits offer flexibility
  • Older runway pieces may have unique proportions

Where relevant, we will note if a piece fits true to size, runs small, or has a flexible silhouette.
